London Short Film Festival 2010

Ensalada Mixta is a short parable about contentment. Sid the curious snail finds himself in the kitchen of a rather exclusive restaurant, a kitchen full of possibilities both exciting and dangerous. Trouble lurks behind each utensil and a harmless looking tub might contain salt - the equivalent of kryptonite if you are a snail.

Despite the risks involved Sid is fearless - the prospect of a tasty leaf of lettuce and a nice bit of sliced tomato is a worthy prize for those who are brave enough to go forth. Will Sid reach his goal and fulfill his dream of rolling around amongst some tasty fresh greens? And if so, will he become complacent with no more goals to strive for, leading him to become overweight and depressed?
