Margaret was a married father of five until she had gender reassignment surgery at the age of 58; Peter, 53, has just told his family he is gay, but is determined to stay with his wife. ‘Latecomers’ looks at why they waited until now to come out of the closet, how their families have reacted, and how their lives are changing.

This is a really great film, which perfectly details the contrast between today's 'liberal society' view on LGBT culture and the stigma and awkwardness that still surrounds it in places, especially in older generations. You really get an account of the inner-feelings of people who have come out in later life and it leaves you wanting to see more. Well done!
