Melt, shot on full HD on location in Iceland, is structured around the changing forms of water: from ice, through liquid to vapour, on the glacial journey to the sea. This journey offers a deep immersion into a world of exquisite beauty and the extraordinary patterns and abstraction found in landscape. The project was shot using specialist high-speed and timelapse camera technology on the ground, and from the air using an ultra-smooth gyro-stabilised camera mounted on a helicopter. The soundtrack, written by Ysanne Spevack and Philip Clemo and described as “intricate, immersive” in MOJO and “something to dive and immerse yourself into” in All Music Guide (USA), is at the heart of this film: the breath that breathes life into the imagery and the centre of the drama and dynamics. www.philipclemo.com
