London Short Film Festival 2010

Antoine is an idiot with no job. At least, that’s what his suburban lower middle-class family thinks, for whom education and success are all-powerful magic formulas. Antoine diligently studies books on how to turn fear into success, but his hopes of finding a job are pretty minimal. He starts to lose all sense of reality and gets progressively more entangled in a web of absurd lies.

From its curt and simple starting point of a young man out of work, Tom Geens' debut feature gradually whips itself up into a whirlwind, sucking in more and more characters with increasingly uncomfortable tension.

Before this screening will be a 20-minute discussion on making the move from short to feature films with Tom Geens, Zorana Piggott (producer) and Lifesize Pictures' Rebecca Mark Lawson. Presented with the UK Film Council.
